Social Beings – Child and Family Therapy
“We are pleased to have Natalie Daly of Social Beings – Child and Family Therapy, consulting here at Townsville Paediatrics on Mondays, Tuesdays and every second Wednesday.
Natalie is an Accredited Mental Health Social Worker who has been supporting children and families in Townsville since 2012, with experience across hospital and community health services including Paediatric Oncology, Child and Youth Mental Health Service and the Child Development Service.
Natalie’s framework is grounded in compassion, curiosity and connection with a focus on supporting families to understand and navigate their child’s experience of anxiety, depression, trauma, developmental delays and differences, and relationship stressors.
Evidence-based approaches utilised by Natalie include Circle of Security, Theraplay, PACE/Dyadic Development Psychotherapy, Systemic Family Therapy, Narrative Therapy and Cognitive Behavioural Therapies.
With parental consent, Natalie’s systemic approach includes confidential liaison with other community supports including schools, medical and allied health professionals, to ensure same page support in reaching therapeutic goals for children and young people.
Natalie sees children and adolescents under mental health care plans, NDIS and private referrals.
